IMPORTANT
Destroy This Brief has been conceived by and is being run in a spirit of collaboration by Only One In The Room. Our aim is to use the industry’s collective creativity to drive change and move things forward. To this end, ideas submitted will be openly shared, developed and built upon. Of course, relevant people will be credited, consulted and invited to collaborate, but the initiative is less about personal glory and more about building something together. Thank you.

A panel of senior industry experts will assign scores out of 10 to the following criteria:
Originality of Thinking
Feasibility and budget awareness (up to $100k)
Relevance to this brief
Likelihood to create immediate impact
Likelihood to create long-lasting, industry-wide change
The top 5 highest scoring pieces go through to the final round.
Final round judges will include a smaller, elite panel of local and global leaders in the industry.
In this round, finalists will be given the opportunity to present their idea (and any expansion of the thinking) in a 20-minute presentation with a Q&A to an elite panel of local and global leaders in the industry.
There is no limit to the number of entries you can submit.
WHAT THE JUDGES ARE LOOKING FOR
Judges are looking for ideas that immediately impact the diversity of talent in our industry with regards to race, ethnicity and culture. But, while swift and meaningful change is a key factor, the winning idea will not be a flash-in-the-pan. It must also create the foundations for long-lasting inclusion of BIPOC communities.
We are not just looking for communications ideas. We’re looking for ideas that go beyond explaining the benefits of diversity or the challenges of its absence. We’re looking for ideas that deliver change in a direct and practical way.
We want ideas that will make a meaningful difference.
WINNERS
Winners, as judged by our elite panel of local and global experts, will be provided with support, connections and funding to bring their idea/s to fruition, in partnership with the Only One In The Room collective.
Please note that while an upper budget limit has been included in the brief, the exact funds will be determined and allocated depending on the winning idea/s.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The IP in your idea will remain yours to own, but licensed to Only One In The Room so that your idea can be produced. Rights in the final produced works will be shared with you and finalised with you prior to production.
